At the start of the 3rd year of my Digital Media course, we were tasked with proposing and creating short two-week projects in order to prepare for our final major projects. 
For my second project, I decided to create a promotional campaign for the NHS Blood and Organ Donation Center. I was inspired by their recent increase in advertisements due to the drop in blood and organ donation since the start of the pandemic. 
I also chose this project as organs, especially hearts, are a common focus in my traditional work and I feel it is important for me to have an underlying passion within all my projects. I decided to create an advert style video in a frame-by-frame animation format, using the concept of a blood-fusion tube to illustrate the message. 
I created a mood board of inspiration including my own heart paintings and examples of using the apparatus to write messages. 
I spent a lot of time planning my animation, focusing on the three main frames defining the beginning middle and end of the graphic. I used Adobe Animate to produce the final outcome before adding textured overlays in Premiere Pro.
